About Me

Hello!  Have you ever wondered what your English teacher does when she isn't grading, planning, or teaching?  Here is your opportunity:

I have been a teacher at Bolton for fourteen years, and I am a TRUE WILDCAT!  I act as yearbook sponsor, club coordinator, PLC leader, and Bridge Builders sponsor.  One of my favorite classes to teach is Creative Writing, which has grown exponentially over the past seven years.

I have three pets: Halo, a lab mix, Chandler Binghampton Crosby (his friends call him Bing because he was rescued as a kitten in Binghampton), and Jean Louise Finch (Scout for short; she  adopted me on Friday 13th of last year).  She is in ninja training.  I also have two active children; Skylar, 15, and Liam, trouble :)

I graduated from Christian Brothers University in 2005 with a B.A. in English and minored in Psychology.  My excellent professors trained me well, and I love sharing knowledge with teenagers.

My teaching style is unique; I enjoy making learning fun by incorporating games, TED talks, and creativity.  I enjoy learning my students' personalities, and I try to build on strengths.

Please contact me at any time via email- I check it often, and will reply within 24 hours.  You may also call Bolton at (901)416-1435 and the office will get me the message.

My goal for this year is to encourage and support all my students every day, every class.
